Pipe Schedule or Sch is a pipe that has a pipe thickness parameter that is measured from the relationship of the pipe thickness to the inner diameter (ID) which results in the strength to resist pressure. The way to measure pipe thickness is the ratio of pipe work pressure divided by the allowable stress which will then be multiplied by 1000. We take the example of steel pipes with a pressure of 350 Psi. Generally steel pipes have an allowable stress of 10,000 psi. Then write the formula as follows Sch = (350 / 10,000) x 1,000 = 35. Then you should use schedule 40. For easier and more practical use of everyday life, usually the schedule follows pressure in the bar, with 1 bar = 14.51 Psi. For example 40 bar working pressure, schedule 40 is used. Length:
